American Sailing Association (ASA) Lessons *

The American Sailing Association (ASA) courses consist of both practical requirements and written exams. The practical requirements vary by course, but can include such a skills as basic tacking and jibing maneuvers in ASA 101, anchoring and docking in ASA 103, navigating and boat systems in ASA 104, advanced navigation in ASA 105, and sailing a cruising catamaran in ASA 114.
We like to keep our ASA Certification Classes to 2-3 people as there is a substantial amount of information to be communicated to the students, and smaller classes make it possible for the instructor to focus on each student and the ensure that his or her needs are met. It also gives the student more time at the helm and a crew to allow the student to fully understand the subject matter being taught and why is it relevant.
We offer ASA 101 Basic Keelboat Sailing, ASA 103 Basic Coastal Cruising, ASA 104 Bareboat Cruising, ASA 114 Cruising Catamaran, and ASA 105 Coastal Navigation.
Private Lessons are offered 7 days a week from 7 AM to dusk to fit your schedule.
ASA Class Prices
ASA 101 3 days, $1,800 for 2 people plus $39 pp ASA Membership Fee
ASA 103 2 days, $1,400 for 2 people
ASA 104 2 days, $1,200 for 2 people
ASA 114 2 days, $2,600 for 2 people
ASA 101 and 103 - 4 days, $2,600 for 2 people plus $39 pp ASA Fee
ASA 103 and 104 - 4 days, $2,400 for 2 people
ASA 101, 103, and 104 - $3,900 for 2 people, plus $39 pp ASA Fee
Add ASA 105 to any of the above 2 days, $800 for 2 people
Add ASA 114 to any of the above 2 days, $2,000 for 2 people
